A very respected Civil/Environmental Engineering firm operating across the country are currently seeking an experienced Site Civil Engineer for their NYC office.
Responsibilities
Lead the design and permitting of residential, commercial, institutional, warehouse/distribution, and mixed-use projects for both public and private sector clients. Collaborate with office leadership to support strategic growth initiatives and optimize team utilization. Manage and execute site/civil engineering efforts across diverse project types, including site layout, grading, drainage, utilities, erosion and sediment control, and infrastructure from concept through completion. Oversee stormwater management systems, including hydrologic/hydraulic analysis, design, and preparation of SWPPP documentation. Apply expertise in all aspects of land development, integrating geotechnical and environmental considerations into design solutions. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. 8+ years of relevant local experience in site/civil engineering with a strong focus on land development for projects of varying scale. Professional Engineer (PE) license required. Proven experience in site design, grading, drainage, utilities, erosion and sediment control, and related infrastructure. Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D. Active involvement in professional engineering organizations preferred. Strong technical and proposal writing skills; ability to produce clear, accurate, and detailed documentation. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.
