Investigating History Lead Teacher

Grant funded PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors Degree and Certification in Social Studies (5-8) IH training through IHMagnify REPORTS TO: Building Principal and Director of Curriculum RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the direction of the Building Principal and Director of Curriculum Provide leadership with the implementation of the IH curriculum.Provide support in the progress, efficiency, and quality of curriculum implementation.Collaborate with the Building Principal and Director of Curriculum to support teachers with questions and/or concerns. Facilitate PLC meetings and coordinate activities among grade level and/or department teachers as needed.Attend all required professional learning sessions and one (1) IH Champion Day during the school year.Track school progress and support teachers in tracking classroom progress toward goals.Work with the Building Principal and Director of Curriculum to make specific recommendations regarding IH program implementation.Meet monthly with the Principal and Director of Curriculum.Attend meetings outside of the regular work day as required. Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Principal or Director of Curriculum.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENTMust be available after the school day Part-time employmentSALARYStipend - $2,200 per school yearDATES OF EMPLOYMENTStart Date: Immediately End Date: June 30, 2025 EVALUATIONPerformance on this job will be evaluated in accordance with the provisions of the Westfield School Committees policy on evaluation. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Work is generally conducted within school buildings. Ability to travel throughout the school building is necessary. Position involves sitting and the ability to travel from one place to another within the classroom. Work is light in nature with regular lifting of up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds with some pulling and pushing or reaching above, generally of desk and file drawers. Frequent use of hands to operate keyboards and telephones and other office equipment. Regular attendance is an essential function of this job.This position is subject to Grant funding.
