Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee and manage the daily operations of civil construction activities on-site, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and regulations. Responsibilities & Requirements Supervise and coordinate all civil construction activities including earthworks, concrete, foundations, grading, drainage, roads, and structural elements.
Monitor daily progress and productivity of site crews and subcontractors.
Ensure all work complies with project plans, specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
Conduct daily site inspections and safety meetings.
Schedule and coordinate equipment, materials, and workforce to optimize workflow.
Work closely with engineers, project managers, and planners to resolve issues and maintain project timelines.
Maintain site records, including daily reports, timekeeping, and progress documentation.
Ensure that site safety procedures and protocols are strictly followed.
Manage subcontractor performance and assist in evaluating their work.
Support procurement and delivery of civil-related materials and resources.
Assist in budget control and reporting on cost variances related to field activities.
Experience in civil construction (infrastructure, roads, earthworks, concrete, etc.).
In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, OSHA regulations, and civil engineering standards.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and drawings.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
Experience with large-scale infrastructure or industrial projects.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
