Parkview Health is growing We are looking for 2 Part Time Pharmacy Technicians to join our Riverview Pharmacy.
Hours: Mon- Thurs 8a-1p or 5p-10p, 2-3 Saturdays per month from 10a-3p required. 20 hours per week
Pay Range: $19 - $22 per hour
Position Summary
The Pharmacy Technician assists licensed pharmacists by preparing and dispensing prescription medications and supplies under the direction of a Registered Pharmacist in a fast-paced pharmacy where attention to accuracy, regulatory compliance, and efficiency are critical to patient safety and care, working within the limits of standard or accepted practice.
Primary Responsibilities
Perform job assignments in full compliance and complete understanding of URAC, state and federal laws and internal policies and procedures governing the handling, dispensing and distribution of medications dispensed by Parkview Rx.
Prepare, label, and dispense medications under Pharmacist supervision. Responsible for prioritizing and navigating the print pharmacy system's print queue, printing medication labels, and checking for inventory balance on medications in the pharmacy ordering system.
Support Pharmacist in keeping accurate inventory levels. Sort and stock inventory of medications, vials, and dispensing supplies and return excess stock or unused medications to inventory.
Assist with the packaging and shipping of medications and supplies as required, to maintain workflow and commitments to customers.
Operate and maintain automation systems including adherence packaging device. Load medications and verify medication types, quantities and lot numbers during dispensing process.
Provide support in adjusting and correcting any errors or discrepancies that occurred during the automated dispensing process.
Maintain clean and safe work environment.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Proven experience as a highly effective communicator with internal and external customers; includes listening, speaking, understanding, and writing in English.
Basic pharmacy billing experience with working knowledge of medical terminology, medication names, and pharmacy sig codes.
Demonstrated ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 30 lbs.) in compliance with safe handling procedures.
Education/Experience Requirements
High School Diploma and additional specialized training as a Pharmacy Technician.
Minimum of one year's experience working as a Pharmacy Technician with working knowledge of experience and fulfilment process, maintaining proper inventory in the pharmacy strongly preferred
