Overview
Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manager Systems Engineering 3 to join the Triton SEIT Development Lead team. This on-site, full-time role in the San Diego, CA campus leads a team of Systems Engineers across SEIT disciplines to support Triton development programs at various stages of the development cycle. The selected candidate will collaborate with the Enterprise SEIT lead, Triton Development Program Manager, Development Chief Engineer, and other IPTs to ensure the Triton System meets all performance requirements and to resolve technical and programmatic issues as they arise. Responsibilities
Lead a team of Systems Engineers across SEIT disciplines to support Triton development programs. Collaborate with the Triton Development Program Manager, Development Chief Engineer, IPTs, Suppliers, and Customers to support diverse contract and technical activities within the Triton Development Program Portfolio. Own the execution of Systems Engineering tasks (performance, schedule, budget, and quality) within the Triton Development Program Portfolio. Demonstrate leadership to plan, organize, communicate, and manage technical activities; motivate multiple disciplines to work as an integrated team across locations and organizations. Coordinate anomaly resolution, internal and external technical changes/reviews, and management of internal/external requirements and baseline control. Apply systems engineering fundamentals to requirements, verification, integration, mission engineering/analysis, and related topics (cybersecurity, system safety, airworthiness, EMI/EMC, human factors, modeling and simulation). Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field with 9 years of engineering experience, Master’s in STEM with 7 years, or Ph.D. in STEM with 5 years. Proficient in Systems Engineering process, lifecycle, and technical reviews. Experience in earned value management and leading a technical team of 10 or more. Technical leadership experience as IPT/sub-IPT lead or technical/thread lead in systems engineering, vehicle engineering, avionics, software, electronics, or mission payloads. Proven ability to communicate effectively with Leadership, Customers, Peers, and Team Members. Active DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain SCI and Special Program Access. Preferred Qualifications
Active DoD Top Secret clearance with current SCI. Experience in Autonomous Systems Programs. Experience in Triton requirements, system-level/hardware-in-the-loop integration and testing, and/or other development activities. Experience in Specialty Engineering (cybersecurity, system safety, EMI/EMC, etc.). Proven change leadership with evidence of championing technical changes that improved performance or team efficiency. Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in a STEM discipline. Compensation and Benefits
Primary Level Salary Range: $187,000.00 - $280,600.00. The above range represents a general guideline; actual offers consider scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Eligible for overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses where applicable. Long Term Incentives may apply for VP/Director levels.
