Plan, design, and utilize programming languages and related technologies to write new code or modify existing code for software enhancements and/or development of new products and features. Test, troubleshoot, and/or debug software programs during product development and/or post-implementation. Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance of software. Lead other engineers in the performance of technical tasks. Interact with internal users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications. Work with other development team leads and software architects on technical and architectural direction of projects. Collaborate with cross-functional, globally dispersed development teams to support development efforts to meet business requirements. Design, develop, and maintain Data Ingestion and Data Pipeline projects, shared libraries, and module-specific usage. Build and maintain highly scalable data pipeline systems using cloud technologies; design, develop, and maintain domain models and model behavior code using C#/.NET. Design, develop, and maintain REST services for integration with other Moody’s services; develop data pipelines for modern cloud-based architecture. Debug existing application code to troubleshoot and resolve software defects and production incidents. Inspect, evaluate, and provide constructive feedback on software code to enhance quality, adherence to standards, and maintainability. Foster collaboration and ensure software excellence. Offer round-the-clock availability to address critical issues, incidents, and emergencies; troubleshoot and maintain system functionality and user experience. Supervise and mentor junior team members. Revamp and modernize legacy codebases using up-to-date technologies and best practices; improve system performance, maintainability, and scalability while preserving functionality and data integrity. Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field plus five years of progressively responsible experience as a Software Engineer, Technical Consultant, or related role. Experience with architecting, designing, developing, and implementing solutions to support enhancements and bug fixes; proficiency with .NET, design patterns, Agile/SCRUM, CI/CD, and full stack development. Proficiency with C#, .NET, PL/SQL, Postgres, Python, Data Bricks, AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda), GitHub, GitHub Actions, Bitbucket, Oracle, ADO.NET, ASP.NET, VB.NET, XML, HTML/CSS, C, C++, Java, LINQ, Shell scripting, PERL, Batch Script, PowerShell; familiarity with Eclipse, SourceTree, CVS, PuTTY, WinSCP, MSBuild, IIS, Jenkins; open source tools and build systems. For US-based roles only: the anticipated base salary range is $165,547 to $169,000 per year, dependent on experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position and is eligible for incentive compensation.
