Director, Enterprise Business Applications
to lead the strategy, implementation, and optimization of our core business systems for a 1,500+ person organization. This role will drive digital transformation initiatives and ensure our enterprise applications deliver maximum business value while maintaining operational excellence.
What you will do
Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute the enterprise application strategy aligned to and in support of high growth business objectives
Lead digital transformation initiatives to scale and optimize business processes and provide remarkable staff experiences
Partner with business stakeholders to understand and document requirements, and translate them into technical solutions
Manage application portfolio roadmaps and technology investments
Lead, mentor, develop, and manage technical staff at various experience levels
Foster collaboration across IT teams and business units
Guide architecture best practices and ensure seamless solution delivery
Application Management & Operations
Collaborate with business units as joint owners to achieve shared outcomes leveraging core enterprise systems including:
ADP Workforce Now
(HRIS, payroll, benefits administration)
Salesforce
(CRM, sales automation, customer management)
Deltek Vantagepoint
(project management, time entry, resource planning, financial management)
Microsoft 365 Suite
(SharePoint, Power Platform, Teams, Exchange)
Ensure system availability, performance, and security standards are maintained
Lead major system implementations, upgrades, and migrations
Manage vendor relationships and contracts for enterprise applications
Strategic Data Architecture Leadership
Establish data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
Integrate disparate systems across departments to create a unified data ecosystem.
Partner to ensure complex data modeling to analyze trends and improve business performance can be achieved.
Create systems that support analytics and reporting, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Compliance & Governance
Establish governance frameworks that incorporate security controls, data privacy, scalability, and resiliency standards
Coordinate with Security and IT Operations teams on enterprise standards and monitoring
Oversee data consistency, interoperability, and information flow across systems
Ensure comprehensive system documentation standards are maintained
What you will bring Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field
8+ years of experience in enterprise application management and IT leadership
2+ years in a director-level or senior management role
Technical Expertise
Strong business and functional knowledge of enterprise systems including
ADP Workforce Now ,
Salesforce ,
Deltek Vantagepoint , and
Microsoft 365
ecosystem
Understanding of enterprise architecture principles and system integration concepts
Knowledge of cloud platforms, SaaS application management, and modern application development approaches
Ability to evaluate technology solutions and translate technical concepts to business stakeholders
Experience with vendor management and technology selection processes
Leadership & Business Skills
Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects
Strong business acumen with ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience with vendor management and contract negotiations
Project management experience (PMP certification a plus)
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in relevant field
Knowledge of data analytics and reporting tools
Professional services, consulting, or engineering industry experience
Understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF, ArchiMate) or cloud architecture concepts
Experience with business process improvement and change management methodologies
Experience in organizations of similar size (1,000-5,000 employees)
