The Expenses team develops solutions that simplify expense management, from real-time tracking and receipt capture to approvals and integrations, giving businesses control and efficiency over global spending. What You’ll Do As a Frontend Engineer, you'll design and implement user-friendly web interfaces for our procurement offerings, focusing on user experience and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will help define innovative solutions and set engineering standards. This role is based in San Francisco. Responsibilities Implement frontend features using React and TypeScript, breaking down requirements, estimating work, and participating in planning and reviews. Contribute to Micro Frontends development following a domain-based design approach. Work with product managers and designers to clarify requirements, support iterative delivery, and ensure product quality. Use Apollo GraphQL to integrate with backend services via a BFF layer, focusing on clean APIs. Collaborate on shared UI components and contribute to the design system. Participate in code reviews, triage bugs, and improve engineering standards. Engage in learning activities like Frontend Guild discussions, tech spikes, and experimenting with new technologies. Partner with backend engineers and product teams to deliver a high-quality user experience. Who You Are We seek candidates meeting minimum qualifications; preferred qualifications are a plus but not mandatory. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Strong understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, React, HTML/CSS, and modern web practices. Experience with API integration and frontend performance optimization. Ability to write well-tested, maintainable code and contribute to documentation. Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset. Preferred Qualifications Experience with GraphQL, design systems, or micro frontend architecture.
