Job Overview

The attorney will work under the supervision of the Executive Director. This role is responsible for conducting research, writing research memos and other reports, helping to organize convenings and conferences, and otherwise assisting the operational and administrative functions of the assigned Center or Institute. Responsibilities

Support the Center with the organization of externally and internally facing meetings of varying sizes. This includes coordination of content and programs with participants and external partners, development of messaging, and overseeing planning and logistics. Work Interactions

The staff attorney reports directly to the Executive Director of the Center. The attorney will interact with students, faculty and support offices on the Law Center’s campus, as well as external partners and stakeholders. Work with the Executive Director, faculty member, and staff to conduct research projects, including legal and policy research on issues relevant to the Center’s mission. Projects will involve legal and policy research, writing and presentations, and participation in conferences and events. Qualifications

The position is open to individuals with a United States law degree. Superior communication skills, including public speaking and professional communication with team members and stakeholders. Ability and eagerness to take initiative. Attention to detail. Excellent research and legal writing skills. Ability to operate professionally in interactions with academic and other stakeholders. Willingness to pitch in on team tasks. Interest in and ability to work well as part of a small team and supervise student work in a professional manner. Interest, expertise, and/or lived experience in work relating to gender equity. Position Specifics

The projected salary range for this position is

$66,783.00 - $126,720.23 . Compensation is determined by factors including qualifications, experience, education, skills, certifications, and the University’s business needs. Current Georgetown Employees
