SAP Solution Architect

About the Role We are seeking an experienced SAP Solution Architect who combines deep technical expertise with strong solution design and leadership skills. This role requires both hands-on development (ABAP, UI5, FIORI) and architect-level responsibilities such as system design, integration strategy, and guiding full lifecycle implementations. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in SAP ECC while also having direct, proven exposure to S/4HANA implementations. Key Responsibilities Lead the solution architecture, design, and implementation of SAP projects across ECC and S/4HANA landscapes. Provide technical leadership across FI, CO, BI, and SEM-BCS modules. Perform hands-on ABAP, UI5, and FIORI development when required to support projects and ensure best practices. Assess and define migration strategies from ECC to S/4HANA (brownfield, greenfield, or hybrid). Partner with business stakeholders and IT teams to deliver scalable, high-performance solutions. Oversee and review development work (ABAP objects, RFCs, SmartForms, OData, enhancements). Ensure compliance with SAP security and authorization concepts. Troubleshoot critical issues, provide root cause analysis, and guide resolution. Manage end-to-end SDLC activities: requirements gathering, design, build, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support. Mentor junior consultants and provide architectural governance across projects. Requirements 12+ years of SAP experience, including at least 3+ years in an Architect role. Strong background in SAP ECC (FI/CO/BI/SEM-BCS) with end-to-end full lifecycle implementations. Proven track record of working on S/4HANA implementations (strategy, design, migration, execution). Hands-on expertise in ABAP development (Reports, BDC, RFC, SmartForms, Enhancements). Advanced knowledge of Object-Oriented ABAP, FIORI/UI5, and OData services. Familiarity with additional programming languages (VBA, SQL, Java, NodeJS, HTML) is a plus. Strong understanding of SAP security, roles, and authorization concepts. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to balance solution design with hands-on coding and troubleshooting. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, IT, or related field. Experience in financial industry, banking, or financial markets. Experience leading ECC to S/4HANA migration projects.
