Jr DAS Technician

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Jr DAS Technician to join a State and Local Government Agency located in Houston, TXthrough 100% full onsite presence, supporting wireless infrastructure installations across high-profile public venues. The Jr DAS Technician will assist senior technicians in installing and supporting various cable types (coaxial, fiber, Cat5/6) across commercial and residential projects, ensuring quality and compliance with industry standards. This role involves hands-on work with wiring, cable trays, and racks in environments like stadiums, hospitals, and office buildings. Responsibilities of the Jr DAS Technician include: Support senior DAS technicians during installations & ensure all work meets manufacturer & company standards Install & manage various cable types (coaxial, fiber, Cat5/6) in commercial & residential environments Use basic hand & power tools to assist with cable routing, trays, racks, & equipment setup Maintain professionalism on job sites, ensuring safety, quality, & customer satisfaction Assist with wireless infrastructure projects in high-profile venues such as stadiums, hospitals, schools & office buildings Demonstrate mechanical aptitude & basic electrical knowledge to support structured cabling & digital systems Qualifications of the Jr DAS Technician include: 1-2+ years of experience in cable installation, wiring, or related electrical/mechanical work Mechanical aptitude & familiarity with basic electrical systems & digital technologies Ability to install & support various cable types, including coaxial, fiber & Cat5/6 Proficiency in using basic hand & power tools for cable routing & equipment setup Ability to work professionally onsite in commercial environments like stadiums, hospitals & schools Experience with installing cable trays, racks, & structured cabling systems is preferred Compensation for the Jr DAS Technician includes: Salary Range: $40,000-$47,000
