We are looking for an experienced Fitter/Welder to join our Fabrication Department. In this role, you will align, fit, and weld sheet metal parts according to blueprints and specifications, ensuring every product meets our strict quality standards. If you're a skilled fitter/welder who takes pride in precision, safety, and leadership, we want you on our team.
Schedule: Monday to Friday 6am to 5pm | Must be open to some weekends
What You'll Do
Read and interpret engineering drawings to determine fabrication requirements.
Position, align, and fit sheet metal parts for welding within tight tolerances.
Set up welding machines for correct settings based on material type and thickness.
Perform MIG and Flux-core welding in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
Inspect welds for size, appearance, and quality.
Clean and prepare welded parts using scrapers, grinders, and sanders for painting.
Operate fabrication tools such as cutting torches, band saws, ironworkers, and forklifts.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
Complete tasks efficiently and on schedule.
What You'll Need Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
Experience: Minimum 2 years in sheet metal fabrication or welding, required
Skills & Knowledge:
Proficient in MIG welding (Flux-core a plus).
Ability to read blueprints and cut-sheet packages.
Strong measuring, squaring, and basic math skills.
Knowledge of fabrication machines and shop tools.
Ability to follow procedures and work independently.
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
Physical & Work Requirements Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Stand, walk, kneel, crawl, and work in various positions.
Work in conditions that may involve heat, humidity, fumes, chemicals, and moving machinery.
Overtime as required.
