The Director of Security is responsible for overseeing and managing the security operations of the organization. Duties Develop and execute comprehensive security strategies aligned with organizational goals. Manage security personnel, providing leadership, training, and performance evaluations. Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement appropriate mitigation measures. Oversee the development and enforcement of security policies, procedures, and protocols. Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate security considerations into business development initiatives. Negotiate contracts with security vendors and service providers to ensure optimal service delivery. Lead project management efforts for security-related initiatives, ensuring timely completion within budget. Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency within the security department. Monitor compliance with regulatory requirements related to safety and security operations. Qualifications Proven experience in management roles within the security sector or related fields. Strong strategic planning skills with the ability to align security initiatives with business objectives. Demonstrated experience in senior leadership positions, showcasing effective decision-making capabilities. Excellent negotiation skills for managing vendor relationships and contracts. Background in business development to support organizational growth through secure practices. Proficient in project management methodologies to oversee complex security projects effectively. Experience in process improvement techniques to enhance operational performance within a security context. Strong operations management skills to ensure smooth functioning of all security-related activities. This position requires a proactive leader who can navigate complex challenges while fostering a culture of safety and security throughout the organization.
