Grounds/Landscape Maintenance

We are seeking a full-time Cemetery grounds/landscape maintenance person in the St. Augustine area. A prospective candidates must be a dependable, team oriented individual able to operate on a 40 hour/week flexible shift schedule that may require overtime and/or weekends as necessary. The position is expected to earn between $13.00- $17.00/hour depending on experience. Benefits include paid time off, paid holidays and 401-K plan. A qualified individual must be able to perform the following: Lawn maintenance projects such as mowing, weed eating, edging, trimming, irrigation projects/repair, laying sod, tree and shrub pruning, fertilization of Cemetery grounds, cleaning ponds/ditches, picking up trash and litter from Cemetery grounds and other maintenance or beautification projects as directed. Operate maintenance equipment - zero turn mowers, blower, edger, weed eater, chain saw, trimmers, dump trailer, etc. Other Essential Functions Work with maintenance superintendent and cemetery office manager Burial site preparation and service Assist with burial site lay out, service set up and take down Assist with digging and backfill of graves as needed Assist with any Saturday burial services Education and Experience Minimum 1 year of landscaping/lawn care experience (Cemetery maintenance experience preferred but not required) High school education Good communication skills, problem solving skills, detail oriented Other Qualifications Required to pass a drug and alcohol screen Valid driver's license Must have own transportation to/from work Job Type: Full-time Pay: $ $17.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) matching Paid time off Ability to Commute: Saint Augustine, FL Required) Ability to Relocate: Saint Augustine, FL 32084: Relocate before starting work (Required) Work Location: In person
