Court Liaison Psychologist

Compensation: Up to $140K/year or $150 per hour

PsychPlus is hiring a Court Liaison Psychologist to conduct in-person psychological evaluations Position Responsibilities Serve as the primary liaison between the court system, legal representatives, and the mental health facility. Conduct psychological assessments and prepare court-ordered evaluations, including competency and risk assessments. Provide expert testimony in court regarding mental health findings, treatment plans, and patient progress. Translate clinical information into legal language to support court proceedings and decision-making. Collaborate with attorneys, judges, probation officers, and law enforcement to ensure accurate communication of mental health information. Coordinate treatment planning and ensure compliance with court-ordered mental health services. Maintain accurate and confidential clinical and legal documentation in accordance with state and federal laws. Monitor and report patient progress to the court and recommend treatment modifications when necessary. Educate legal and clinical staff on mental health issues, treatment options, and the implications for legal cases. Ensure ethical standards and legal guidelines are followed in all court-related interactions. Candidate Requirements Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology Experience: Prior experience in forensic psychology, court liaison work, or conducting court-ordered evaluations. Knowledge: Strong understanding of criminal justice procedures, mental health law, and forensic assessment methods. Excellent written and verbal communication for preparing reports and providing expert testimony. Ability to translate complex psychological findings into clear, court-appropriate language. Strong collaboration skills to work with legal, clinical, and law enforcement professionals. Crisis intervention and risk assessment expertise. High ethical standards and adherence to APA and legal guidelines. Strong organizational and documentation skills to meet court deadlines. Compensation Options
