Nurse Job Description Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care in various settings, including hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities. The Nurse will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and implementing treatment protocols while ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and regulations. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments and document medical histories. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians. Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes in condition. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans. Provide education to patients and families regarding health management and treatment options. Perform procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization, suturing, and wound care. Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients through infection control practices. Participate in case management and discharge planning processes. Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed. Experience

Candidates must have experience in one or more of the following areas: Critical care experience or ICU experience Emergency medicine or trauma medicine Long-term care experience or assisted living Home care or hospice & palliative medicine Pediatrics or working with children Medical office experience or outpatient settings Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks Knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9 & ICD-10) and CPT coding Experience administering injections, phlebotomy, and specimen collection/processing Preferred skills include: Botulinum toxin treatment, esthetic laser treatment, or dermal fillers Experience with ventilators, airway management, and tube feeding Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic evaluation Understanding of NCQA standards and infection control protocols We welcome applicants who are passionate about nursing and eager to make a difference in the lives of their patients.
