Top Secret Cleared Database Developer SME

All Points is seeking a Top Secret Cleared Database Developer SME to support the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in Chantilly, VA. This position requires an active, current, and fully adjudicated US Department of Defense Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility. This position is contingent upon contract award (expected October 2025). The selected candidate will support IT networks, systems, and initiatives with activities that include information systems operations, information systems development and modernization, and IT security. The team you will join is also responsible for the development, implementation, and subsequent operations and maintenance of new applications each fiscal year. The operation of existing applications and new application initiatives are critical to the success of the FBI mission. Additionally, thousands of personnel in the law enforcement, intelligence, legal, and administrative communities use these services daily to perform mission-critical work. These applications require responsive, effective, and specialized technical expertise to limit disruption to FBI operations. Duties may include but are not limited to: Provide strategic guidance, technical leadership, and deep expertise in database design, management, and optimization within the Cyber Technical Analytics and Operations Section. Act as a trusted advisor across development, operations, and analytics teams, ensuring best practices in database architecture, performance, and security across multi-enclave environments. Responsible for SQL and PL/SQL development to include: developing the backend reports to support user needs; developing custom scripts to automate various database management processes, monitoring and troubleshooting database performance; developing, optimizing, and tuning stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and queries in support of application development; interfacing with customers, users, and developers as needed; maintaining the database schema, database design, and transition development activities. Provide technical subject matter expertise (SME) on ingesting into the database from sources such as file systems, and perform maintenance. Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline Years of Experience: 10 Years Minimum Skills/Certifications: SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL) and query optimization Stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and complex queries ETL processes, backend reporting, and database automation scripts Database performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization Log analytics and observability platforms, particularly Splunk Containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) Cloud platforms (AWS GovCloud, SC2S, C2S) Windows and Linux operating systems Strong understanding of forensic and investigative data requirements Demonstrated experience designing and implementing data solutions in secure government environments Additional Technical Experience: Programming in Python for data processing, automation and ETL workflow orchestration Lucene-based search/indexing platforms: Elasticsearch and Apache Solr Message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ) GraphQL: schema design, API development, query optimization, and integrations DevSecOps practices and tools Experience as a scrum participant and software release processes Available to work after hours when mission requires Communicate work using SMART Security Clearance: US Citizenship required Active, current, and fully adjudicated (no interim) US Department of Defense Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.
