Aircraft parts refurbishment company in Northeast Arkansas needs a detail-oriented logistics guru to work in their shipping and receiving area. The company receives assemblies or parts which you would be responsible to uncrate, track through production, and finally wrap and crate for return. Careful documentation is critical.
These shipments are both domestic and international. With your working knowledge of import and export trade regulations, you will prepare accurate documents and records. You will also work with freight forwarders, customs brokers, LTL shippers, trucking companies, etc.
This job has a physical component: the crating and uncrating of parts and preparing them for safe shipment. The parts are not heavy.
Requirements
Strong familiarity with logistics for import and export in a shipping and receiving environment.
Familiarity with record-keeping of parts received, and tracking goods through production, with finished parts returning to the warehouse for shipping.
Hands-on experience in uncrating and crating of parts. Must be familiar with handling high dollar value, oddly shaped structures or parts.
Knowledge about import and export documentation for international customers
Experience working with trucking companies, LTL shippers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.
Must be thoroughly familiar with computers and spreadsheets for tracking deliveries and shipments.
