Overview
Oakland School for the Arts (OSA) seeks a full-time Annual Fund Manager to lead the design, management, execution, and evaluation of OSAs annual fund, donor stewardship program, and special events. Reporting to the Director of Advancement and Marketing, the position collaborates with staff, faculty, parents, volunteers, and community members to drive fundraising success. The role also supervises the Database Administrator. Responsibilities
Design, manage, implement, and evaluate the annual fund program with an emphasis on parent and grandparent giving, integrating multiple channels including direct mail, email, telephone, and social media. Develop and implement new strategies to grow the donor base and cultivate a pipeline for major gifts. Recruit, train, and steward parent volunteers, including Annual Fund ambassadors, auction committees, and arts pathway chairs. Create and manage a donor stewardship program to ensure meaningful engagement and recognition. Oversee the production of Annual Fund collateral and donor communications. Develop and execute an annual sponsorship strategy, including donor benefits and recognition. Lead the planning, logistics, and execution of OSAs fundraising events, including the spring auction, in partnership with arts departments and external vendors. Partner with the marketing consultant to maintain an integrated communications calendar, ensuring consistent messaging across all Annual Fund communications. Produce OSAs weekly newsletter and quarterly publication, Spotlight. Supervise the Database Administrator, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and timely dissemination of fundraising data. Use data analytics to drive segmentation strategies, set fundraising goals, and measure progress toward targets. Manage sales, storage, and distribution of OSA merchandise and marketing materials. Build and maintain relationships with parents, volunteers, and donors by attending school and community events. Track fundraising results monthly and adjust strategies to meet goals. Participate in Advancement team meetings, professional development, and collaborative school initiatives. Engage in the life of the school to strengthen community connections and support fundraising success. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Advancement and Marketing. Qualifications
Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university required. 35 years of successful fundraising experience, with a proven track record in Annual Fund management. Demonstrated success in growing donor engagement and building a giving pipeline. Experience in event planning and management required. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines. Proven ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in Google Suite; experience with donor databases/CRM (DonorPerfect or similar preferred). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to philanthropy that emphasizes hospitality, service, and inclusion. Compensation and Benefits
The annual 1.00 FTE salary for this role will be $76,035.00 to $92,686.24 and is commensurate with experience. OSA offers a comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees, including medical, dental, vision, commuter benefits, employee assistance program, and retirement plans.
