Marketing Director, Trade Channels

The Marketing Director, Trade Channels is responsible for leading brand activation and energy across wholesale specialty, key accounts, and international trade channels. This role provides strategic leadership and ownership of channel marketing programsensuring brand standards are executed with excellence across environments, in-store experiences, digital assets, and partner activations. The Director partners closely with Sales and cross-functional leaders to align strategies, deploy compelling tools, and create scalable programs that drive sell-in, sell-through, and long-term growth. This role oversees the full lifecycle of channel marketing initiativesfrom strategy and ideation through execution, measurement, and optimization. Leadership & Strategy Provide strategic vision and leadership for wholesale specialty, key account, and international marketing programs, aligning with brand and business objectives. Own annual channel marketing plans, budgets, and KPIs, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to maximize impact. Partner with executive leadership, Sales, and cross-functional teams to ensure trade marketing initiatives drive revenue, strengthen brand equity, and support global expansion. Elevating the In-Store & Digital Experience Lead innovation in the retail environment, leveraging trends and technology to deliver best-in-class consumer experiences. Develop and scale a comprehensive environments program, ensuring global consistency and flexibility for account-specific execution. Oversee execution of fixtures, displays, and custom build-outs to enhance brand presence in priority accounts and international markets. Manage inventory and vendor process of all fixtures Work closely with Sales to identify specific opportunities, by account, to enhance the brands presence in-store, adopting a best-in-class approach for retail partners Ensure consistent deployment of brand assets across channels Quarterly market visits planned and more as needed to support the business Trade Marketing Programs Architect and manage co-op programs, developing strategic partnerships that deliver measurable sell-through results. Manage an efficient intake program from sales reps/account, as well as, timely and successful execution of programs. Lead planning and execution of key specialty doors and international programs such as sales contests, window programs, and retail events. Create best-in-class assets and tools that position OluKai as a premium partner across channels, including DAM and social-sharing tools for easy access globally. Sales Meetings & Trade Shows Partner with Sales as the primary point of contact from Marketing on planning and executing inspiring and educational sales meetings twice a year. Partner with Sales to plan and execute trade show experiences, including owning the development, graphics updates and set up, tear down of all trade show booth materials, being onsite throughout the duration, partnering with Sales management and reps to host meetings with key retailers. Brand Assets, Premiums & Training Oversee development of sell-in and sell-through tools, ensuring alignment with go-to-market priorities and seasonal initiatives. Direct the strategy and production of premiums, ensuring high-quality execution and measurable ROI. Lead the development of training programs and toolsboth online and in-personthat empower retail associates worldwide to authentically share the OluKai story. International Marketing Own marketing strategies and execution for international wholesale and distributor partners. Collaborate with International Sales Management. Build frameworks, guidelines, and scalable toolkits to ensure consistency of brand expression globally. Partner with international sales teams to adapt programs for regional needs while maintaining brand integrity. Oversee key distributor and international partner relationships, ensuring strategic alignment and measurable success. Requirements 1014 years of progressive marketing experience, with significant time spent in trade, wholesale, or channel marketing roles. Proven track record of director-level ownership, including leading budgets, strategy, and cross-functional initiatives. Experience managing international trade marketing programs and distributor relationships. Strong leadership and people management skills with ability to inspire, develop, and grow high-performing teams. Deep experience in footwear, apparel, lifestyle, or consumer brand marketing strongly preferred. Excellent strategic thinking, analytical capability, and problem-solving skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence across all levels of the organization. Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field required; MBA a plus. Highly organized, resourceful, and connected to brand and culture.
