Field Technician (Hastings)
Iron Eagle specializes in industrial services, focusing on industrial cleaning, emergency spill response, and waste management. We are expanding our operations and seeking experienced Field Technicians to join our team at our location in Hastings, MN! This role involves intense physical demands, including performing cleaning and decontamination tasks in confined spaces. You'll operate diverse equipment, tools, and machinery in environments containing hazardous materials, necessitating the use of comprehensive HazMat personal protective equipment (PPE). Must have a valid Driver's License and Health Card (or willing to obtain one). Must be comfortable working in confined spaces in full HazMat PPE. Day-to-day responsibilities include reporting to our Hastings location every morning prior to being sent to various scheduled work at client locations across the Twin Cities Metro area, carrying out site remediation, equipment decontamination, and hazardous material handling, assisting in the loading/unloading of heavy and light-duty trucks/equipment at client locations, correctly using and maintaining diverse personal protective equipment (PPE), working in varying indoor and outdoor temperatures and all weather conditions, functioning in environments with potential exposure to various chemical and physical agents, some hazardous, toxic, or corrosive, ensuring safe loading and unloading of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, and adhering to all local, state (provincial), and federal compliance regulations. Operate vehicles safely, following U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial), and federal requirements. Standard shift time is 7am, however, due to the nature of our business some flexibility is required (there will be occasional start times before or after 7am. You may also work more than 8 hours/day depending on project/client needs. You will be notified of schedule changes in a timely manner). Due to the nature of our business, you can expect to travel up to 10% of the year. Travel is usually scheduled, however, some emergency spill response requires unscheduled travel as well. You must be flexible and willing to mobilize when an emergency event arises. Due to the nature of our business in industrial services and emergency response, you are expected to adhere to our On-Call Rotation Schedule, which requires you to commit to at least 1 On-Call week per month (typically Thursday Thursday). Our goal is to keep the On-Call schedule limited to one week per month, however, some flexibility may be required in busy seasons and emergency events.
