Job Title
Creates, plans and schedules based on shop load, period of performance, and lead times per make and buy items. Duties include reviewing routers prior to release, reviewing BOMs as needed to ensure accuracy, printing and distributing manufacturing data packages for assigned projects on scheduled plan release dates, attending material review board meetings to help determine root cause and method for correcting nonconformance, creating and printing vendor consignment notices and coordinating outside processing, working closely with all members of the manufacturing team, expediting material from building to building as required to assist with production flow, helping develop and implement operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality, performing a variety of other tasks as needed, helping interpret company policies to workers and enforcing safety regulations, assisting the planning department with day to day operations, and other duties as assigned. Education/Experience Requirements: Associate degree preferred. Experience may be substituted for degree. Must have experience and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems. Cost Point experience is preferred. Requires a minimum of six (2) years of production planning experience. Must be able to review and understand production routers/BOMS prior to release. Must have experience in creating and working with Bills of Material and government drawings. Proficient in communicating effectively with multiple business and manufacturing disciplines. Possess effective verbal and written communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel. General computer skills required. Physical Requirements: Must be able to walk or stand on level and/or inclined surfaces and sit for extended periods of time. Must be able to routinely climb / descend stairs. On occasion must be able to lift 25 pounds. Must be able to routinely grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows / knees, and reach above / below shoulders. Works in a normal office environment with controlled temperature and lighting conditions.
