Blackstone Credit & Insurance (BXCI) is one of the worlds leading credit investors. Our investments span the credit markets, including private investment grade, asset based lending, public investment grade and high yield, sustainable resources, infrastructure debt, collateralized loan obligations, direct lending and opportunistic credit. We generate attractive risk-adjusted returns for institutional and individual investors by offering capital to strengthen and grow the businesses we invest in. Blackstone Credit & Insurance (BXCI) Assistant Vice President, Legal & Compliance Responsibilities Assist investment and business groups in structuring, negotiating, and facilitating new investments and related investment management considerations. Manage legal aspects of new bespoke product launches, including structuring, drafting, and negotiation of investment management documents and review and drafting of disclosures, and coordination with investment, marketing, operations, fund accounting, and tax teams. Coordinate with Blackstone funds formation team on new flagship fund launches. Work with capital formation team on asset backed financing and liquidity facilities for Blackstone Credit & Insurance funds. Work on corporate projects related to the firm, including private and public transactions, operational matters, investor relations issues, and new business initiatives. Assist in day-to-day matters faced by the in-house legal group related to a large, dynamic global business, including review and negotiation of confidentiality agreements, vendor agreements, and miscellaneous contracts. Assist in the review of marketing materials, investor communications, and responses to investor inquiries. Assist in ongoing legal aspects of operating existing investment funds, including review of contractual provisions, preparing amendments, and updating and revising investment vehicles offering materials. Coordinate with compliance team on transaction and investment funds-related compliance matters, including Advisers Act issues, trade clearance, regulatory filings and designing and testing of compliance systems. Assist in updating and maintenance of the firms policies and procedures, corporate governance documents and files, and research/regulatory library and filings. Support various business groups, including investment, marketing, accounting, operations, and middle office departments. Manage external deal counsel, in conjunction with the investment team, and work closely with portfolio managers, colleagues in legal and compliance departments, tax, and ops teams during execution of the transaction. Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

Education Juris Doctor degree (or foreign equivalent) in Law or a related field required.

Certificate Certificate of Good Standing to Practice Law in the State of New York

Experience Minimum 3 years of experience in job offered or related occupations required. 3+ years of experience in broad real estate law, including real estate finance and operations. 3+ years of experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts for a wide range of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, leasing, property management agreements, financing, and ancillary real estate documents such as amendments, NDAs, SNDAs, etc. 3+ years of experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) for documents, presentations, and portfolio analyses. 3+ years of experience conducting research to develop solutions regarding high-level theories, ideas and topics. 3+ years of experience navigating diverse stakeholders to balance priorities and meet business objectives. 3+ years of experience utilizing strong finance and business skills. 3+ years of experience demonstrating excellent organization and verbal and written communication skills. 3+ years of experience managing ad-hoc projects independently and to completion.

Expected annual base salary range:

$138,000 - $200,000 Actual base salary within that range will be determined by experience, skills, qualifications and job location. Roles outside the US follow local compensation practices.
