Human Resources Generalist I

Parker Hannifin . The HR Generalist at our Ravenna, Ohio Manufacturing Plant & Division Office reports directly to the Human Resources Manager. This role collaborates with site leadership to support approximately 200 hourly production employees across three shifts, as well as salaried staff, and requires a consistent presence in the office and plant five days per week. The primary purpose is to ensure the facility operates smoothly and efficiently, with a focus on positive team member engagement. The Generalist I also supports the Engineering, EHS, Accounting, Quality, IT, Pricing, Sales, Customer Experience, and Supply Chain departments. Responsibilities
Support full-cycle recruitment efforts including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding. Assist with employee relations matters, responding to employee inquiries, engaging with team members on the production floor, and escalating issues when necessary. Coordinate team member engagement and events. Maintain and update employee records in HRIS and ensure compliance with applicable laws and company policies. Coordinate and track employee performance reviews. Support benefits administration and serve as a liaison between employees and benefits providers. Assist with training coordination and employee development initiatives. Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by participating in HR projects and activities. Prepare HR reports and metrics for management review. Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum Experience: 0 to 2 years in Human Resources or related roles. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Accurate data entry and documentation. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Basic understanding of HR principles. Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., Kronos) is preferred but not required. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong multitasking and organizational abilities. Customer service orientation and interpersonal skills for interacting with employees at all levels. Physical Requirements
Must be able to safely interact with team members on the manufacturing production floor with the required personal protective equipment. Additional Information
