PRIMARY FUNCTION Our Higher Education sector seeks an experienced Project Manager to join our talented team. The ideal candidate will have broad expertise, particularly in Higher Education, and be committed to HEDs mission of Advancing Your World through Critical Thinking, Integrated Practice, and Design Excellence. TYPICAL DUTIES Lead project teams across all phases of professional services, acting as liaison between clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities. Collaborate with the Principal-in-Charge and Project Architect/Engineer to deliver positive impact for clients, colleagues, and the community. Drive the teams efforts to achieve Design Excellence by establishing project goals, defining strategies, and tracking results. Manage all project activities from marketing and proposal development through design, permitting, bidding, construction administration, and post-construction review. Oversee client relations, contract negotiations, scope and schedule management, financial oversight, quality reviews, and staffing planning, often across multiple projects. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of ten years' professional experience in the A/E industry. Experience with Higher Education projects in the US. Bachelor's degree in architecture or engineering. Professional licensure. Experience in project financial and risk management. LEED accreditation. Extensive knowledge of all A/E services, from business development to project close-out, including design and technical expertise. Excellent communication, writing, and organizational skills. Strong leadership, teamwork, and motivation skills in a design-focused environment. Proactive, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexible. Strong business acumen and strategic outlook with attention to detail. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Travel capability to project sites locally and nationally; attendance at meetings. Ability to access and evaluate project sites. Proficiency with office equipment for communication and documentation. Visual acuity for responsibilities.
