JOB SUMMARY We are seeking highly skilled Microsoft 365 Information Security Specialists to join our team. This role focuses on planning and implementing information security measures for sensitive data using Microsoft Purview and related services. The specialist will play a critical role in mitigating risks by protecting data within Microsoft 365 collaboration environments from both internal and external threats, while also ensuring secure usage of data by AI services. Key Responsibilities Implement information protection strategies to safeguard sensitive data. Develop and enforce Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies to prevent unauthorized sharing and leakage. Establish and manage data retention policies to ensure compliance and regulatory adherence. Monitor and manage insider risks by identifying and mitigating potential threats. Oversee and respond to information security alerts with timely and effective action. Develop and implement a strategy for data classification and labeling. Design and manage Identity and Access Management (IAM) strategies for collaboration services in Microsoft 365. Continuously assess and improve data security posture across Microsoft 365 environments. Collaborate with governance, data, and security stakeholders to develop security policies and controls. Partner with administrators and business application owners to align policies with business needs. Participate in incident response and ensure effective resolution of security incidents. Manage user identities, access policies, and identity governance using Entra ID. Administer and troubleshoot Exchange Online services, ensuring compliance and availability. Manage on-premises Exchange infrastructure for SMTP Relay and business continuity. Optimize license allocation and ensure compliance with licensing agreements. Implement Azure Information Protection for classification, labeling, and encryption. Manage encryption solutions for data-at-rest, including administration of Thales HSMs. Oversee service onboarding to ensure smooth integration into the IT ecosystem. Administer service principals, manage secrets/certificates, and configure automated workflows in Entra ID. Manage and monitor Entra ID managed identities and federation for secure access control. Develop, test, and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans. Provide training and support for end-users and administrators. Maintain detailed documentation of security policies, procedures, and incident responses. Required Qualifications
5–7 years of experience managing and securing Microsoft 365 environments. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or equivalent field. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Purview, Entra ID, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and Exchange On-Premises. Expertise in Azure Information Protection and data-at-rest encryption. Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 security and compliance features (data protection, encryption, access control, data retention). Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills for resolving complex technical issues. Proficiency with PowerShell for automation and management. Familiarity with identity federation and business continuity planning. Certifications
