Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fabric Research and Development Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the team in the development of seasonal fabrics. The assistant will coordinate seasonal material orders, communicate with overseas vendors and mills, track and ensure timely delivery of orders, and maintain an organized fabric library. Base pay range
$45,000.00/yr - $55,000.00/yr Responsibilities Maintain accurate and up to date information and pricing for all seasonal fabrics and lining in the PLM system Place and track sampling fabric and lining orders ensuring timely delivery Create Raw Material Codes for seasonal collections. Process material sampling invoices Attend and take notes in collection line reviews Communicate cross-functionally with design, product development, and production Responsible for organizing the in-house fabric library Participate in vendor meetings and attend textile shows Maintain the seasonal fabric chart in Excel
Qualifications
Degree in Textiles or Apparel 0-3 years experience in Fabric or Product Development Basic knowledge of textiles Experience working in PLM or similar systems Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment Self-motivated with the ability to work independently Extremely organized and detail oriented Strong time management skill with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines Eagerness to learn and develop new skills
