Head Of Vertical Dramas
Changing Lives Productions is the video production company of Dhar Mann Studios, aimed at creating positive content for the social media generation. Our short, motivational videos focused on life, business, and relationships receive over 1 Billion views monthly and have garnered over 60 Billion views on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok. The company is founded by Dhar Mann, a mission-driven entrepreneur with a global audience of over 140 Million social media followers and one of the highest viewed content creators in the world today. Our stories depict real life situations shown by actors that teach important life lessons. The company is driven by one founding principle: We're not just telling stories, we're changing lives. We are seeking a Head of Vertical Dramas to launch and scale our presence in the fast-growing world of short-form, mobile-first serialized dramas. Platforms like ReelShort, DramaBox, and DramaWave have turned micro-dramas into a billion-dollar category, and Dhar Mann Studios is uniquely positioned to become a category leader given our storytelling expertise, production pipeline, and massive built-in audience. This is a hybrid creative and business leadership role: part showrunner, part studio head, and part dealmaker. You will be responsible for standing up an entirely new vertical at DMS focused on producing, packaging, and monetizing cliffhanger-driven micro-dramas. That includes owning the content pipeline, forging partnerships with distribution platforms, managing deal negotiations, and ensuring our vertical dramas meet both artistic and commercial objectives. If you thrive at the intersection of storytelling, digital-first economics, and entrepreneurial deal-making, this is your opportunity to shape a new business line at one of the most watched content studios in the world. How You'll Spend Your Time: Building the Vertical Drama Division: Define vision, hire and manage writers, producers, and production teams optimized for high-velocity, vertical-first storytelling. Content Development: Oversee creation of scalable, binge-worthy micro-dramas in genres with proven monetization. Deal-Making & Partnerships: Lead negotiations with platforms and emerging players. Revenue & Performance Oversight: Ensure titles are produced within target budget bands while maximizing revenue share, performance kickers, and cross-platform monetization opportunities. Creative & Audience Alignment: Leverage DMS storytelling DNA to ensure stories are emotionally resonant and optimized for audience retention and monetization beats. Data-Driven Ops: Partner with analytics to track minute-by-minute retention, ARPPU, and UA effectiveness. Apply insights directly into creative development. Cross-Promotion Strategy: Deploy DMS's massive cross-platform reach to reduce partner CAC, accelerate title launches, and increase negotiating leverage. What You Have: 10+ years of experience in digital content, scripted development, or streaming originals, with proven success in high-volume, fast-turn storytelling environments. Strong track record of deal-making and business development with streamers, digital platforms, or production partners. Deep familiarity with vertical-first monetization models (pay-per-episode, VIP subs, in-app purchases, UA strategies). Exceptional ability to balance creative vision with P&L discipline, keeping production costs tight while maximizing storytelling impact. A network of writers, showrunners, and indie producers who can be rapidly mobilized to deliver dozens of series annually. Comfort navigating data-driven creative iteration, with experience incorporating performance dashboards and retention metrics into story craft. Strong negotiation skills, with fluency in cost-plus, co-pro, and licensing deal structures. Entrepreneurial mindset: scrappy, fast-moving, and eager to build something new at scale. Who Oversees You: The Head of Vertical Dramas will report directly to the CEO and work closely with our creative and production teams. Where It All Goes Down: All the action takes place at our studio in Burbank, CA. When The Magic Happens: Must be able to work a flexible schedule with occasional evenings and weekends to align with fast-moving production schedules and global platform demands.
