Food Runner
Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale is looking for a talented part-time Food Runner! The Food Runner position assists the Food Server in providing an enjoyable expertly served dining experience conforming to Four Seasons standards of excellence for quality, professionalism and friendliness. Food Runners ensure all outgoing dishes are correctly prepared according to guest's specific requests including dietary restrictions. Food Runners present the food to the guest and are knowledgeable about all current menu options, beverage lists and daily specials. What You Will Do: Deliver food from kitchen to the guest ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Assist in clearing, cleaning and set-up of tables, chairs, linens, china, glass and silver for service in an unobtrusive manner; greet guests according to Four Seasons Standards to ensure superior service. Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests. Assist in stocking linens, china, glass, silver, and food items for service; assist in preparation of smaller items such as toast, soup, or beverages. Assist in the breakdown, cleaning and set-up of buffets and food stations. Provide the proper and safe guidance to our guests in the pool area. Provide information and assistance to hotel guests giving them an orientation as needed. Report any malfunctions promptly and accurately. Ensure safety procedures are followed and notified to Security of any accident or injury. Follow the proper procedures to report when any items will be needed to restock inventory. Enforce health club rules and regulation with guests. Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors. Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff. Adhere to meal break policy and proper payroll procedures. What You Will Bring: 1-2 years food and beverage serving and/or related food and beverage experience in a high volume upscale resort. Attention to detail and positive attitude. Ability to walk 8 hours per day in a desert climate. Physically able to be on his/her feet at least 6 8 hours per day. Ability to carry at least 40lbs above the shoulder and push at least 100lbs. Work outdoors in temperatures up to/exceeding 100F. Valid Maricopa County Food Handler's Card.
