Responsibilities

You will begin all responsibility statements with 'You will'; each field should have no more than one sentence; list the responsibilities in a logical order; and avoid using federal or military jargon 250 characters.

GS-06: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Authenticating identification for access to restricted areas
  • Regulating pedestrian and vehicular traffic to maintain traffic flow and security operations
  • Granting or denying personnel access into restricted areas
  • Performing private and commercial vehicle inspections and package inspections following prescribed procedures to ensure only authorized property is brought into or removed from facilities

GS-05: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Screening and/or inspecting personal and commercial vehicles requesting installation access
  • Controlling personnel access by verifying identification/credentials
  • Patrolling buildings or perimeters for suspicious activity
  • Maintaining desk logs, desk journals, and pass-down logbooks to document security events

GS-04: Your resume must also demonstrate at least six months of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-03 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Screening and/or inspecting personal and commercial vehicles requesting installation access

This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled.
