This role would serve as a crucial member of the Park Lawn Corporate Development team, reporting to the VP of Corporate Development and working on the execution of all inorganic (Mergers & Acquisitions) and organic growth strategies in both the United States and Canada. This role will have a very visible and active role in communicating with the company’s Executive Management Team and Board of Directors. Essential Functions Co-leads the financial modeling used to evaluate all of Park Lawn’s mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and significant capital projects. Conducts industry research, competitive landscape analysis, demographic trends, strategic fit, sources of commonalities, and potential risks of an investment. Prepares presentations and investment memorandums which describe potential transactions and are intended for Park Lawn’s Executive Team and Board of Directors. Assists in the presentation, recommendations, and proposals to senior leadership related to prospective transactions and investments. Assists Corporate Development team members in formal transaction due diligence on all M&A activity by tracking and analyzing the activity in the virtual data room, communicating directly with Sellers/Buyers, and dispersing information and knowledge internally. Assists in cross-functional Q&A and collaboration with multiple departments during due diligence, integration planning, and post-transaction integration efforts. Assists the Company’s finance function with special projects. Assists with the preparation and review of various legal documents. Applies financial rigor, business acumen, and strong attention to detail in all projects to help executives arrive at decisions that maximize shareholder value. Contributes to enhancing the Corporate Development function by identifying opportunities to improve processes and recruiting new team members. Performs projects and other duties as assigned. Required Education, Experience, Certifications and Licensure Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field required. One to three years of related experience required. Demonstrable experience with financial analysis and modeling required. A solid understanding of finance and generally accepted accounting principles required. Additional Eligibility Qualifications Expert-level Excel financial modeling and PowerPoint skills and a high degree of proficiency with Outlook and Word. Very strong attention to detail, keen analytical mindset, strong organizational skills, and ability to synthesize and clearly communicate complicated analyses. Ability to quickly pivot between projects and tasks while managing required deadlines in an environment that requires a high sense of urgency. Capable of working independently, but also a good team player. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (oral and written), and ability to interact across all levels of the organization. Highly motivated self-starter with a desire to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented organization. This position may also be exposed to chemicals and/ or blood borne pathogens. Exposure risk is considered: Low Overtime is sometimes necessary or required. Travel This position does not require out of area and overnight travel.
