Field Service Technician II

As a Field Service Technician II, your responsibilities include performing testing, maintenance, and repair of low and medium voltage circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, motor control, and other electrical apparatus in the shop and in the field. Responsibilities: Performing testing on low and medium voltage breakers including Megger, Ductor, Hi-Pot, Hi-Current, and Timing tests. Completing mechanical work and repairs on breakers and switches, including tear down, refurbishment, and parts replacement. Wiring circuit breakers. Utilizing and accurately reading test equipment. Reading schematics and wiring drawings. Troubleshooting circuit breaker controls. Reading and plotting time-current curves. Testing transformers, including Power Factor and TTR. Accurately and consistently documenting using Power DB. Able to work with electrical tools and socket sets. Qualifications: 1-5 years' related experience in commercial and industrial maintenance. Minimum 2 years of industrial or commercial power systems testing. Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form; deal with problems involving several concrete variables. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plain and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions of practical situations. Ability to read company manuals and reports, workplace rules and procedures; speak with poise and confidence, using correct English. Perform regular field work both indoors and outdoors. Valid Driver's license and good driving record. Education: High School Diploma.
