We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to provide safe and efficient patient care services under the supervision and direction of a licensed provider and nurse. The role involves performing various administrative duties and assisting in patient care in a general practice clinic within a hospital health network. This position is primarily back-office focused, including tasks such as charting patients and taking vital signs. Responsibilities: Provide patient care services under the direction of a licensed provider and nurse. Perform routine tasks as a trained medical technician to support clinic patients. Focus on back-office tasks such as charting patients for the general practice clinic. Take vital signs including blood pressure, heart rate, age, weight, and temperature. Room patients and prepare medical files for the doctor. Prepare and stock examination rooms after patient visits. Essential Skills: Medical Assisting Diploma Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant Additional Skills & Qualifications: CPT license (preferred) Proficiency in electronic health records and EMR systems Strong customer service and appointment scheduling skills Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification Experience in phlebotomy and patient education Work Environment: The position is based in a very fast-paced clinic environment, operating Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The clinic has 12 providers and includes an on-site lab and imaging center. The team enjoys daily catered lunches and a collaborative atmosphere with opportunities for advancement within the organization. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract position based out of THOUSAND OAKS, California. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $26.00/hr.
