The Business Development Associate is responsible for cultivating relationships with potential investors, borrowers, and real estate professionals in the context of private money lending. This role requires strong communication skills, a deep understanding of real estate financing, and the ability to thrive in a competitive and dynamic lending environment. Responsibilities

Daily inbound and outbound call activity manage inbound calls, screen for quality and alignment with Anchors loan product guidelines. Target 50+ outbound calls per day using data and prospective client contact information to evaluate alignment with Anchors target borrowers. Collaborate with management to refine call strategies and scripts to improve call conversions. Client Acquisition: Identify and prospect potential borrowers and real estate investors needing short-term, high-interest loans. Relationship Building: Develop strong relationships with clients, real estate agents, and other industry professionals to generate opportunities. Loan Origination: Assess loan applications, evaluate collateral, and underwrite hard money loans. Market Research: Stay informed about real estate market trends and identify lending opportunities. Compliance: Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements in the lending process. Sales and Negotiation: Negotiate terms and conditions of hard money loans and close deals. Reporting: Maintain records and provide regular reports on business development activities and outcomes. Customer Service: Provide excellent service, address client needs, and address concerns. Team Collaboration: Work with underwriters, loan processors, and other team members to facilitate the loan process. Target Achievement: Meet or exceed sales targets and revenue goals. Continual Learning: Stay updated on changes in lending practices and regulations. Requirements

Knowledge of hard money lending, practices, regulations, and industry trends. Strong sales negotiation skills for building and maintaining client relationships. Solid understanding of financial analysis, credit evaluation, and risk assessment. Effective networking and relationship-building to connect with potential borrowers, brokers, and real estate professionals. Excellent verbal and written communication to convey complex financial information. Ability to analyze lending opportunities and assess risk. Stay updated on market conditions, real estate trends, and competition. Knowledge of lending regulations and ability to ensure compliant transactions. Strong problem-solving skills for navigating complex lending scenarios. Collaborative skills to work with underwriters, legal teams, and other stakeholders. Time management and organizational skills to manage multiple client relationships and opportunities. Proficiency with CRM platforms such as Salesforce. High ethical standards and integrity in dealing with clients and financial transactions. Preferred, But Not Required

Bachelors Degree in finance, business, or economics preferred. Work Arrangement

This is a hybrid position requiring in-office reporting to Anchors Thousand Oaks office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Remote work is optional on Monday and Friday. Compensation

The base pay range for this position is $66,560/year, plus annual discretionary bonus based on performance. What We Offer
