Design, develop, integrate and test software for end-user customers and businesses. Responsible for design, architecture, application development, and flight simulation. Work with multi-disciplinary teams (Systems Engineering, Cloud & Application, Test Automation, DevSecOps, Systems Test) in an Agile software development environment. Analyze system capabilities to resolve problems related to program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques and controls. Architect and develop applications in a simulated training environment. Participate in full software development life cycle including requirements, design, implementation, qualification, and delivery of software products. Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors degree in a STEM field with 8 years of related engineering experience; OR Masters with 6 years; OR PhD with 4 years. Experience with the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Experience with at least one of: C, C++, Python. Experience with two or more of: Jira, Crucible, Bitbucket, Subversion, Bamboo, Jenkins, SonarQube, Fortify, or Coverity. Active DoD Secret or higher clearance. Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to employment. Preferred Qualifications
Strong understanding of C/C++ languages including templates, memory, and compiler/linker. Experience with Joint Simulation Environment (JSE), Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS), or High-Level Architecture (HLA). Experience with Full-Motion Flight Training Systems. Experience with simulated threat environments such as AFSIM or NGTS. Ability to collaborate with systems engineers, hardware designers and integration/test engineers to develop and maintain complex software systems.
