Supervises Community Engagement and Referral Specialist Key Responsibilities

Strategic Community Engagement Develop and implement a community engagement strategy that aligns with the nonprofits mission, values, and strategic goals. Identify and cultivate partnerships with local organizations, schools, faith-based groups, businesses, and government entities. Identify and cultivate partnerships with tribal entities across the State of New Mexico Lead initiatives that promote civic participation, volunteerism, and community empowerment Outreach and Relationship Building Serve as the primary liaison between the organization and the community. Represent the nonprofit at public events, community forums, and stakeholder meetings. Build trust and maintain strong relationships with diverse community groups, especially those historically underserved or marginalized. Program Development and Oversite Design and manage community-based programs, workshops, and events that reflect community needs and priorities. Collaborate with program staff to ensure community input is integrated into service delivery and program design. Monitor and evaluate engagement efforts for impact and effectiveness. Communications and Advocacy Work with the communications team to develop culturally relevant outreach materials and campaigns. Amplify community voices through storytelling, media engagement, and advocacy efforts. Support public policy initiatives that align with the organizations mission and benefit the community. Leadership and Team Management Supervise community engagement staff and volunteers. Provide ongoing support, mentoring and learning to the team Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture. Requirements

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Communications, or related field (Masters preferred). Minimum of 3 years of experience in community engagement, nonprofit leadership, or public affairs. Demonstrated success in building partnerships and leading community initiatives. Deep understanding of communities and populations served Excellent interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Preferred Skills

Experience working with diverse and underserved populations. Grant writing and fundraising experience. Familiarity with nonprofit CRM systems and engagement platforms.
