Join our group of passionate digital experts shaping the future of digital products from the USAA mobile app to our chat bot technologies. We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Digital/Technical Product Manager Intern who is passionate about making an impact on the military community through the USAA mission. This position is based in San Antonio, TX or Plano, TX. What you'll do: Empathize with and deeply understand the unique needs of end-users to determine the fastest path to deliver value. Translate business goals and end-user needs into a clear product vision, communicating direction and priorities to the development team, other matrixed teams, and third-party partners. Identify goals, metrics, and analytics to determine product value; continually make recommendations and refine the product backlog based on learnings. Manage and groom the product backlog, making decisions based on the value that will be delivered. Monitor research and the competitive landscape to recommend the best solutions and ensure that products remain or become best in class. Ensure that product directions balance user needs and business goals of driving new products, improving efficiency, and enhancing customer satisfaction. Work with design partners to formulate, test, and refine assumptions and hypotheses through user research. Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth delivery and execution of product plans. What You Will Learn: How to translate complex business goals into executable strategies. Learn how to take an idea through the refinement and development process. Best practices in user research and applying insights to product development. Techniques for managing a product backlog and prioritizing features. Financial planning and analysis in the context of product management. Conducting competitive analysis and strategic planning to keep products best in class. What you need to have: To qualify, you must be pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university, and plan to graduate after the final day of the internship. Most of our interns participate the summer between their junior and senior years.
Our 2026 internship will start on May 27, 2026 and last through August 7, 2026. Graduation date cannot be prior to
August 8, 2026 Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Strong analytical skills and a passion for user-centric product design. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. A proactive attitude with a desire to learn and take on new challenges.
