Project Manager, Food Services

Be a part of a world-class academic health-care system, UChicago Medicine, as a Project Manager, Food Services, at our Hyde Park medical campus. This position is an on-site opportunity. You will need to be based in the greater Chicagoland area. In this role, the Food Services Project Manager will provide support for the Food Services team at the Hyde Park Location. The Food Service Project Manager will develop tools, implement programs, and processes necessary to drive organizational initiatives. Must have demonstrated the ability to collaborate with stakeholders to develop, manage, and execute project management and achieve desired project outcomes. The successful candidate is a forward thinker and exercises a solid business acumen/savvy, organization, stakeholder (people) expectation management, and project leadership skills. The job requires a strategic mindset, excellent communication abilities, analytical skills, self-motivation, and creativity. Essential Job Functions: Responsible for all project phases and project deliverables: intake, organization, assignment, and closeout of projects. Overseeing project plan creation, execution, stakeholder responsibilities, monitoring, communication cadence, and customized communications as identified by the leadership team. Assigning individual responsibilities, conducts project meetings, coordinating activities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedules to ensure adherence to quality standards, timely completion of project, including project tracking and analysis Provides support for capturing current work-flows, identifying improvement opportunities and developing future workflows Fosters relationships by developing a strong level of trust and credibility with all stakeholders Translates and communicates information, implications, and recommendations using clear written and verbal skills appropriately with a diverse audience Enables identification, resolution, and potential escalation of issues and course correct / revise project plans Provides support, as assigned, to institution-wide process improvement and clinical resource management initiatives, coordinating analyses of information from multiple sources Performs other duties as assigned Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent training acquired via work experience or education Health-care, food service or Support Services operational experience preferred; Requires at least three years of related work experience 3 5 years of previous project/performance improvement experience, with focus on operational change, implementation of lean and quality improvement principles Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree Position Details: Job Type/FTE: Full-Time 1.0 FTE Shift: Days, 8:30am - 5:00pm Work Location : CCD Building - (Center for Care and Discovery) CBA Code: Non-Union Unit/Department : Food Services
