Account Manager
Storr Office Environments is a leading Steelcase furniture dealership, dedicated to creating innovative workspaces that inspire productivity, collaboration, and wellbeing. For decades, we've partnered with organizations across multiple verticals to design and furnish environments that reflect their culture and support their people. Our Raleigh based headquarters is expanding, and we're seeking a driven Sales Account Manager to join our team. The Sales Account Manager is responsible for nurturing existing in market clients while generating new revenue opportunities by both prospecting independently and following up on assigned sales leads. This role is accountable for meeting or exceeding quarterly and annual sales bookings goals as well as annual sales funnel goals. Success also depends on maintaining an accurate Microsoft Dynamics CRM for activity tracking, lead management, and opportunity creation to provide management with visibility into performance and forecasting. The Account Manager must also successfully manage projects and build strong, collaborative relationships with internal support teams in design, OMS, and project management, ensuring best-in-class client outcomes. Drive Results Consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales bookings goals. Build and maintain a strong sales funnel, achieving or surpassing annual funnel development targets. Build Trusting Relationships (Internal & External) Develop and sustain strong, consultative relationships with clients, decision-makers, and influencers. Partner effectively with internal support teams (design, OMS, and project management) to deliver seamless project execution. Communicates Effectively Prepare and deliver clear, compelling proposals and presentations tailored to client needs. Actively listen to client concerns and translate them into actionable solutions. Maintain open, transparent communication with internal partners to align project deliverables. Ensure accurate, timely input of activities and opportunities in Microsoft Dynamics CRM, supporting management visibility and forecasting. Plans and Aligns Manage sales activities with discipline, balancing self-prospecting and follow-up on assigned leads. Organize and prioritize work to consistently meet deadlines and revenue targets. Track pipeline progress, plan prospecting activities, and align resources to ensure sales objectives are achieved. Manage projects from initial sale through delivery, ensuring smooth handoffs and execution. Builds Networks Develop a strong presence in the Raleigh, NC market through networking, community involvement, and industry associations. Leverage professional relationships to identify new opportunities and generate referrals. Collaborate with the broader Storr sales team to share insights, strategies, and best practices. Action Oriented Take initiative to pursue opportunities without waiting for direction. Respond promptly and effectively to client and team needs. Demonstrate a bias toward action in driving sales forward, resolving issues, and closing opportunities. Embrace change and adapt quickly in a dynamic business environment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Interior Design, or related field preferred. 3+ years of successful B2B sales experience; contract furniture, interiors, or related industry strongly preferred. Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales quotas and funnel development goals. Strong organizational skills with the ability to leverage Microsoft Dynamics CRM for sales tracking, pipeline management, and reporting. Demonstrated success in both independent prospecting and lead follow-up. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. Experience managing projects and collaborating with cross-functional support teams. Self-motivated, results-driven, and client-focused.
