Were looking for talented, committed individuals to join our team as we push onward toward certifying the Joby aircraft, scaling our manufacturing, and launching our initial commercial service. Were seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Materials Expediter to support our production teams. In this role, youll be responsible for ensuring all required parts and materials are tracked, available, and delivered to the manufacturing teams on time. You'll also play a critical role in supporting new product launches by coordinating the flow of parts for initial builds, working closely with quality, supply chain, and design to prevent delays and keep production flowing in a fast-paced environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on logistics, problem-solving, and being a go-to person on the shop floor. Responsibilities

Ensure parts and materials for all production builds, including first-of-their-kind products, are available and staged for manufacturing on schedule. Track part deliveries, inventory status, and internal movement of materials to avoid production delays. Follow up with the quality team to prioritize inspection of critical parts and ensure theyre cleared for use, especially during new product assembly. Assist with sending parts to external suppliers (e.g., for finishing, machining, or processing) and track expected return dates. Maintain real-time visibility of part readiness and provide regular updates to manufacturing and engineering teams. Coordinate internally to resolve shortages, substitutions, or missing items quickly. Work closely with the supply chain team to stay informed on order statuses and delivery timelines. Participate in build readiness meetings with accurate, up-to-date material tracking information. Support general manufacturing operations by ensuring materials are always in the right place at the right time. Required Qualifications

Associates or Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related fieldor equivalent hands-on experience. 14 years of experience in a production support, expediting, or operations coordination role (startup or high-paced environment a plus). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Familiarity with part flow, material handling, and production processes. Experience with ERP or inventory tracking systems. Excellent communicator and team playerable to collaborate across departments. Comfortable working hands-on in a manufacturing environment and taking initiative to solve problems quickly. Desired Qualifications

Experience in a high-growth manufacturing environment a plus. Compensation and Benefits

Compensation at Joby is a combination of base pay and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $66,560 - $80,000/yr. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
