The Northrop Grumman Classified Solutions team is seeking a senior Linux Systems Administrator to join its dynamic team of technical professionals. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Aeronautics Systems support team in Redondo Beach, CA. Note: Due to the classified nature of the work being performed, this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options. Applicants are encouraged to apply, only if they are willing to work on-site. Roles and responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following: Work in a Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) environment. Utilize experience and knowledge of JSIG and STIG. Monitor and report HPC system health/metrics. Identify performance bottlenecks. Modify system wide parameters to improve performance. Evaluate effects of those changes. Gather data and report finding. Configures and maintains a secure computing environment. Scans, patches, and hardens the computing environment to meet customer requirements. Collects, audits, and stores necessary log data for the system. Develops artifacts necessary to support assessment and authorization of the system. Makes recommendations to improve the security and usability of the system. Occasional travel may be required. Basic Qualifications: Associate's degree and 10 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor's degree and 8 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree and 6 years of relevant experience; 12 years of experience may be considered in lieu of completed degree. Candidates must have a current DOD Secret level security clearance (at a minimum) in order to be considered Candidates must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, a DOD Top Secret level security clearance as a condition of continued employment Candidates must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, access to Special Programs as a condition of employment Must have a Security+ CE certification (or greater); maintaining the required certification will be a condition of continued employment Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) experience Experience with configuring, administering, and maintaining Red Hat or other Linux systems. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Active Top Secret, TS/SCI, Polygraph, or SAP/SAR access would be nice to have 10 years of Server Administration to include Active Directory and Group Policy in a classified environment Experience with patching systems, scanning for vulnerabilities (Security Center/Nessus, SCAP), hardening systems (DISA STIGs), auditing log files, and updating virus definitions Experience as an administrator for Red Hat or similar Linux systems within a DoD context Manage HPC system life cycle: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal Perform HPC technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and supportability and effectiveness analyses Assist software developers to install, fine-tune, and debug software Manage/Assist technical users running analysis on HPC systems Collaborate with Security and follow its guideline to design and implement cybersecurity solutions Experience with job schedulers, such as Slurm or PBS Experience with global and parallel files systems, such as Lustre Familiarity with HPC cluster management solutions, such as Bright or OpenHPC Good written and verbal communication, mentoring experience, and good interpersonal skills.
