The Demand Planning Analyst will drive accurate demand forecasting and sales planning across our product portfolio. They will play a key role in aligning sales, marketing, and supply chain efforts to ensure the right products are available at the right time and place, minimizing waste and maximizing customer satisfaction. Schedule:
Monday Friday 9:00am 5:00pm. The position will be hybrid (MondayThursday in office; Fridays remote) with travel 12 times per month to Ferndale, WA. Wage:
Salary range for this position is $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 annually, subject to all required taxes and withholdings. Responsibilities Develop, own, and maintain short-term and long-term demand forecasts using statistical models and market intelligence. Analyze historical sales trends, promotional plans, market seasonality, and customer input to drive forecast accuracy. Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Planning teams to align forecasts with business objectives. Participate in monthly & quarterly demand and inventory planning meetings to present demand forecasts and highlight variances. Monitor and report key forecasting metrics such as forecast accuracy (WMAPE, bias) and suggest corrective actions. Lead demand planning efforts for new product introductions (NPIs), discontinuations, and promotional lifts. Manage SKU-level forecasting for multiple brands & categories across sales channels Use demand planning software/tools to maintain data and generate forecasts. Identify risks and opportunities in the forecast and collaborate on mitigation strategies with cross-functional teams. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in supply chain, Business, Economics, Statistics, or related field. MBA or APICS certification is a plus. 35 years of experience in demand planning or supply chain planning within the CPG sector (preferably food or beverage). CPG or Food & Beverage experience a plus. Experience with major forecast and planning applications. Knowledge of statistical modeling and accuracy metrics. Proficiency with forecasting tools and ERP systems; strong Excel and data analysis skills. Solid understanding of supply chain principles, inventory management, and product lifecycle planning. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration. Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Analytical mindset with a passion for solving problems and improving processes.
Preferred Experience
Familiarity with syndicated data (e.g., Nielsen, IRI) and POS analytics. Experience in a fast-paced, high-SKU count environment. Knowledge of shelf-life constraints, seasonal demand, and promotional planning in the food industry. IBF or ASCM certification preferred.
