We are seeking a skilled
Mainframe Developer
with strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, and related mainframe technologies. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain batch and online applications, ensuring high performance and reliability of enterprise systems. Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM, and other mainframe tools. Analyze, debug, and resolve issues in batch and online systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. Perform performance tuning, optimization, and maintenance of existing applications. Work with job scheduling tools such as CA-7, Control-M, or OPC to manage batch jobs. Utilize debugging tools and utilities like SORT and IDCAMS to troubleshoot and resolve production issues. Adhere to SDLC processes and change management practices using tools such as Endevor or Changeman. Must Have
10 years of hands-on experience in mainframe development. Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, VSAM, TSO/ISPF, and utilities (SORT, IDCAMS, etc.). Strong understanding of SDLC, batch/online processing, and change management tools (Endevor, Changeman, etc.). Solid experience in SQL and database design in DB2. Familiarity with job scheduling tools like CA-7, Control-M, or OPC. Strong problem-solving and debugging skills. Nice to Have
Experience in mainframe modernization or migration projects. Exposure to DevOps practices for mainframe environments. Knowledge of performance monitoring tools and advanced tuning techniques. Education
