Overview
Lasalle is partnering with a large internet company to bring on a Cyber Security Engineer to join their team. The Cybersecurity Engineer will analyze, implement, and maintain a cybersecurity program, including procedures and policies designed to protect enterprise communications, systems, and assets from both internal and external threats. This role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively across departments to maintain a robust security posture. Position Type and Location
This is a direct-hire, full-time, on-site position located at the Franklin, TN, or Murfreesboro, TN office. Compensation: 90K-100K/year. Responsibilities
Security Analysis and Risk Assessment: Perform regular risk assessments and threat analyses to identify vulnerabilities and areas of exposure. Security Data Analysis: Analyze security data to identify patterns and potential security incidents. Program Leadership: Serve as the primary point of contact for cybersecurity initiatives and programs. Knowledge and Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory requirements relevant to the industry. Security Systems and Compliance Monitoring: Monitor security systems, alerts, and logs for potential security breaches; facilitate the integration of security solutions into IT and telecommunications platforms; ensure secure system configurations and manage patches, upgrades, and updates. Incident Response and Mitigation: Lead the investigation and resolution of security incidents, maintaining minimal business interruption; update incident response plans, protocols, and playbooks; work with IT and operations teams to implement timely corrective actions. Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with applicable security regulations, frameworks, and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001); prepare and present reports to executive leadership; support security audits and reporting for internal and external stakeholders; train team members on cybersecurity protocols. Requirements
Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 4+ years of experience in information security roles. Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent. Valid drivers license with satisfactory driving record and current auto insurance. Core Competencies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Advanced technical competency in Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory/Entra/Azure, VMWare, VxRail, Group Policy management, Microsoft Office, Enterprise networking, and Linux. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations. Proficiency with security tools (e.g., SIEM, firewalls, endpoint protection, IDS/IPS). Knowledge of security best practices for network, application, and cloud environments. Hands-on experience with risk management, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
