Job Description
As a Shipping & Receiving Clerk, you will report to and work closely with the Shipping supervisor to answer customer inquiries, assist in the receiving process, and provide order management with information, primarily through daily clerical activities. Organizational skills and abilities to communicate efficiently and effectively are of paramount importance. Proven ability to gather, analyze, organize, and retrieve data efficiently is highly desirable.
Job Responsibilities
Maintain receiving related documents either hard copy or computer based that are well organized. Accurate, easily accessible, and in accordance with set departmental standards as well as being ISO compliant
Update system information related to the receiving department accurately and in a timely manner
Maintain department files
Receive, sort and distribute
Identify damaged freight in accordance with receiving department work instructions
Order receiving related supplies as required
Prepare, distribute and file documents
Other duties as directed.
Must be able to work Monday through Friday 2:30pm - 11:00pm
Qualifications: Qualifications Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent 1+ years of shipping/receiving experience Experience working with pack slips and bills of lading
Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office software SAP operating system experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to organize work, meet deadlines and work with accuracy
