Woodruff Arts Center employees play an integral role in creating and supporting great art and education initiatives at the nation's third largest arts center. Comprised of three Art PartnersAlliance Theatre, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and High Museum of Artthere's a role for everyone at The Woodruff. Reports to: Manager FLSA: United States of America (Non-Exempt) Employment Status: Temporary/Part time The Event Runner assists in fulfilling the needs of running errands on a show/event day under the direction of Atlanta Symphony Hall LIVE's Event Manager or a member of the Artist's Touring Party that may include: Work directly with the venue and touring party to retrieve and deliver items from local stores, restaurants, airports, hotels, laundry facilities, etc. Providing first-class transportation service for an Artist's touring party in a company vehicle Assist in ordering meals and after-show food Maintain show cash and receipts throughout the day Assisting with miscellaneous projects as directed by Atlanta Symphony Hall LIVE's Event Manager or a member of the Artist's Touring Party Maintain a professional and personable attitude with the venue and touring personnel Assist touring and venue personnel in setting up production and dressing rooms with hospitality Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High school diploma or GED Proficient in Microsoft Word Experience in cash reconciliation Skills and Abilities: Available for long shifts, including nights and weekends (typical show days average 15 hours), in a fast-paced environment Ability to drive 15-passenger vehicles Must be 21 years of age or older and possess a valid driver's license Must be able to maintain composure around high-profile artists/guests Knowledge and love of music Thorough knowledge of the local area, including area businesses & locations Safe driving habits Understanding of the live concert experience Superior communication skills, both verbal and written Positive attitude and courteous, personable manner; willingness to aid at any time Attention to detail Physical Demands/Work Environment: Some standing, walking, bending, frequent use of hands, stooping, and light lifting (at least 25 pounds) are needed The noise level in the work environment can often be loud COVID Vaccination Information: Effective as of October 1, 2021, The Woodruff Arts Center requires that all employees be vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment, subject to accommodation.
