We are seeking a highly skilled
Cloud Engineer (SME)
to support enterprise-scale data processing and cloud integration efforts within a mission-critical Sponsor environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building and deploying cloud-native solutions, designing and managing ETL pipelines for large-scale datasets, and developing distributed data processing workflows. Expertise in Node.js and TypeScript is required, along with experience leveraging Apache NiFi and AWS cloud services to enable secure, scalable, and high-performance solutions. Primary Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain
cloud-native applications
and services to support enterprise mission requirements. Implement
ETL pipelines
and data processing workflows for large-scale datasets. Develop solutions using
Node.js
and
TypeScript
to support scalable, distributed data processing. Integrate and manage workflows using
Apache NiFi
for secure and reliable data movement. Architect, deploy, and optimize solutions in
AWS cloud environments . Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to define requirements and translate them into scalable solutions. Ensure cloud infrastructure aligns with Sponsor best practices for performance, security, and compliance. Support Agile development cycles, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives. Requirements Minimum Qualifications: 7+ years of professional experience in cloud engineering, software development, or data engineering Hands-on experience with
Node.js
and
TypeScript
for enterprise applications Demonstrated expertise with
ETL design
and implementation for large-scale datasets Practical experience with
Apache NiFi
for data flow automation and orchestration Strong background in
AWS cloud services , including design, deployment, and optimization Familiarity with distributed and high-volume data processing architectures Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) required at the time of application Ability to work full-time on-site in Chantilly, VA Preferred Qualifications: Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) Familiarity with cloud security best practices and DevSecOps frameworks Knowledge of big data frameworks and large-scale distributed processing tools Strong communication skills for interfacing with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Eligibility: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship, now or in the future Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph (FSP) clearance is required for this role Benefits Salary:
