Cloud Architect
This role designs, implements, and maintains secure, scalable cloud infrastructure for the DFAS IL-5 tenant. The engineer ensures resiliency, redundancy, and compliance with DoD cybersecurity mandates while enabling mission-critical applications. Responsibilities: Design and architect IL-5 compliant cloud services. Implement Infrastructure as Code for automated provisioning. Support scaling, failover, and continuity planning. Troubleshoot cloud services, containers, and integration layers. Work with DFAS and CSP staff to ensure secure interoperability. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in IT or Computer Science. 5+ years cloud engineering in DoD/IL-5 environments. Experience with Azure Gov, AWS GovCloud, or Oracle Cloud. DoD 8570 IAT III certification (e.g., CASP CE, CCNP, CISA, CISSP (or Associate)) Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform. Preferred Qualifications: Azure or AWS Architect certification.
