Position Title: IT Infrastructure Engineer Department: Information Technology - MU2066 Banner Position Number: 001054 Work Location: MU - Marshall University Employment type: Full-time Seniority level: Mid-Senior level Salary: $52,105 - $67,736; salary commensurate with education, experience, and internal equity Hours: Work week is 37.5 hours Posting status: Open Until Filled Responsibilities Design, implement, maintain, and support Marshall Universitys growing network infrastructure. Ensure stability, security, and efficiency of the network through routing, switching, and firewall configurations.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or a bachelors degree equivalent based on combination of education and/or experience. We will substitute 4 years of experience for the bachelors degree. We will substitute an associates degree and 2 years of experience for the bachelors degree.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in network engineering (preferred). Experience with Palo Alto firewalls; Cisco switching (IOS, IOS XE); Cisco routing (IOS XE); Cisco WiFi (IOS XE); Cisco Catalyst Center.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with routing protocols, BGP, QoS, Layer 2/3 switching, and firewall configuration.
