Puget Sound Educational School District seeks a n Executive Assistant
Superintendent and Board.
Executive Assistant will be assisting the Superintendent in the daily operation of the ESD as well as the planning, implementing, directing and maintaining of ESD programs by providing a wide variety of complex and confidential administrative and secretarial support; analyzing requests and providing recommendations for action; and communicating information on behalf of the district and the governing board to its staff, other organizations, public agencies and governing bodies.
PSESD is one of nine regional educational agencies serving school districts and state approved charter and private schools in Washington. Serving over 39% of Washingtons K-12 public school students, our agency provides critical services designed to ensure that our students are ready to enter school, achieve at high levels in the K-12 system, and succeed in postsecondary endeavors. Essential Functions
Compiles data from a variety of sources for the purpose of complying with financial, legal and/or administrative requirements. Coordinates a variety of activities on behalf of the Superintendent and Board for the purpose of ensuring availability of facilities, equipment and/or accommodations and delivering services in compliance with established guidelines. Coordinates with external partner organizations and agencies for the purpose of scheduling and supporting meetings and events. Embodies the principles and practices that form our culture and commitment to becoming an Antiracist Multicultural Organization for the purpose of meeting the Agencys End: Success for Each Child and Eliminating the Opportunity Gap by Leading with Racial Equity. Evaluates situations involving staff, students, the public, etc., for the purpose of taking appropriate action and/or
directing to
appropriate personnel for resolution. Maintains a variety of manual and electronic documents, files and records for the purpose of providing up-to-date reference and audit trail for compliance with district, local, state and federal regulations. Monitors assigned district activities and/or program components for the purpose of coordinating activities and ensuring compliance with established financial, legal and/or administrative requirements. Orders department supplies and equipment for the purpose of ensuring availability of items as needed. Prepares a wide variety of written materials for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference and/or conveying information. Processes invoices for payment and performs record keeping for the purpose of supporting the Superintendent and Board office functions. Provides administrative support for monthly board meetings, periodic board work sessions, and retreats, including compiling agendas, for the purpose of ensuring effective governance and compliance with organizational requirements. Provides administrative support to other ESD programs and departments for the purpose of supporting critical events and meetings. Researches a wide variety of topics for the purpose of providing information and/or recommendations for action. Responds to a wide variety of calls, concerns and/or complaints for the purpose of resolving problems, providing information and/or referring to appropriate personnel. Serves as a liaison to committees and/or organizations for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required for ESD operations. Supports the Superintendent for the purpose of
providing assistance
with their administrative functions.
Other Functions Assist other personnel as may be required for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
